This is a hand thrown bowl made with white clay in our workplace in Marrakesh. The bowl is specially made for Household Hardware and is dishwasher safe. All of our earthenware is hand thrown and made with white clay. This clay is imported from Italy because in Morocco you can only find red clay, which is less strong.

After molding, the earthenware is baked twice in a traditional wood-fired oven. After the first time the bowls are painted and decorated by hand. After being baked a second time they are ready to be shipped to Household Hardware.

We have strong ties with the Moroccan craftsmen who make our wonderful products. So we know who made every single product personally. You can be sure all our products are handmade and unique and in most cases exclusively made for Household Hardware.

Because our products are handmade they are not all the same, and can differ from each other. This also applies to our grey and white striped ceramics collection. Slight irregularities and unevenness of shapes are part of the product’s charm and proof of traditional craftsmanship.
